Congratulations to Maddy for being awarded the 2022 ANSTO’s Neutron and Deuteration Impact Award

May 26, 2023 Rezwan Siddiquee

Maddy, our most recent PhD student addition, has won the 2022 ANSTO’s Neutron and Deuteration Impact Awards (https://www.ansto.gov.au/whats-on/anstos-neutron-and-deuteration-impact-awards) for her work in the expression and purification of isotopically labelled proteins as part of the novel antimicrobial development project. Working with Dr Anthony Duff from the National Deuteration Facility, the project has reached its next milestone of delineating important structure-activity relationships of the developed compounds and has resulted in the identification of two compounds ready for progression into the next phase of lead development with the Monash Fragment Platform (MFP) team.
